On Monday (January 29th) I spent a great day in Frankfort with Judge Lucas and our new Economic Development Director, Meredith Dubree. We met with the staff of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and had good conversations about the future of Economic Development in Breckinridge County. Look forward to continued working relationship with these bright young men & women.
Meredith Dubree has been hired as the new Economic Development Director for Breckinridge County. And I could not be happier. We now have someone on board whose goal and responsibility is to work to develop opportunities for “Business & Industry” to locate in our area and to help our present business sector to grow & flourish.
The Economic Development Board of Directors has been discussing hiring a director for several months and the timing was just right. Meredith graduated from BCHS (2013) and then from Columbia University last spring. She has come back to Breckinridge County and is now on board to improve things in our communities. She brings excitement, dedication and fresh ideas to this position and that will help her to accomplish much for all of us.
So, when you see Meredith out and about, or you stop by the office at 224 S Main Street, please welcome her back to the community and to her new position. Once again, We are glad to have her on board and look forward to working with her.
